Diploma in Applied Translation (D.A.T.)

The remaining two units make up the Diploma in Applied Translation.
Unit 3: summary of a text of 1200 words in the source language into a text of 400 words in the target language (40%) and Unit 5: one translation project where candidates must translate one extended specialised text of 1500 words into the target language (60%).

To take the Diploma in Applied Translation, any candidate would already have had to pass the Certificate in Applied Translation.

Important:

Unit 4 is only included by those exam preparation centres which offer the Qualification in Applied Translation as part of a longer translation programme. However, Unit 4 is not externally marked in the UK and is not compulsory to achieve the full Anglia international qualification.
