Anglia Examinations in 2016

Seasonal greetings from the Anglia Examinations Headquarters.

In 2016, Anglia Examinations has grown substantially in its core markets. In Europe, we’ve seen strong growth in numbers and the combined countries Latin America have seen a 20% increase in candidate registrations as well new partnerships signed. In the Asian market, our performances were strong with new opportunities ahead for China in 2017.

Anglia Examinations HQ has also grown in terms of staff, with Anna Potter, who is the new Business Development Officer responsible for U.K. University recognition and digital marketing and Debbie Gibbs who is our new Assistant Principal Examiner further strengthening the academic team.

During the summer, Anglia held its first Summer School for children aged 12 -17. This was attended by students from Europe and Latin America. During the three weeks of Summer School the children learned English, went on amazing trips, participated in fun activities and most importantly, made international friends for life.

In addition, we are very proud to now be able to offer all ten levels of the Step To books series. More and more teachers and candidates are working with the Step To books series and in 2017 the whole range will be available in Latin America as well. The next books to come out in 2017 are three levels of CITE books to go with the exams for teachers.

We also look back at a year full of political changes, one of which is Brexit, where still a lot of details are unclear. However, this does not stand in the way of our strong commitment to Europe and to international co-operation which we have re-emphasised with the launch of the new Anglia Network Europe. Anglia is committed to the Step-by-Step way of learning and testing English and making the English language accessible to even more people around the world. Starting with Anglia Network Europe, we created a strategic alliance between Anglia countries in the EU to share knowledge, grow recognition and make Anglia themed events and activities available in even more countries. In 2017 we will also launch these strategic partnerships in Latin America and Asia.
